Although at ninety-odd Nick Schlee is still hard at work painting pictures full of energy and colour, Harvey and Woodd are showing selection of the surprisingly wide range of different landscapes he has tackled over his career.
‘Early and Late’ is a retrospective exhibition that contains early work that reflects a wide variety of painting styles experimented with over seventy years. Besides early work done in London, Sussex and the Scilly Isles there are later paintings of Scotland, the Lake District, the Ridgeway from Streately to Avebury and from Mallorca and Canada.
Harvey and Woodd have recently created a complete digital catalogue of all the artist's oil paintings not already in private or public collections. This can be accessed through the gallery by request.
